Arriving along a gravel courtyard and up a period-staircase lined in attentive valets echoing Buona Sera, one arrives to the interior lobby of the hotel Caruso with its creamy terracotta floors that lead to a central staircase that connect the lobby to the restaurant level of the hotel on the 1st Floor. Between the every-regal Caruso restaurant and the long arcade of open windows with arched frames and infinite view of the Amalfi Coast, Caruso Bar offers an intimate and romantic escape for handholding couples amongst an environment of home-tickled piano music from 7pm and intricate wines and cocktails served by a surprisingly laid-back staff. The decor feels like an opulent old hotel, under a fresco ceiling with crystal chandelier and Tiffany blue decor that looks far more rigid than it actually feels.

The nearby restaurant enforces an evening jacket policy for men that sometimes extends into the adjacent lounge if by rule or simply aesthetic. If you fear being under-dressed, take the jacket with you just in case.
